Discovery Launch Attempt #1

Thursday, December 7, 2006 Discovery was ready for liftoff. If memory serves me correctly, we counted down to T minus 5 and it was scrubbed. Clouds...those beautiful ornaments of the sky that children see creatures in were the death of the Discovery launch for Thursday. Many disappointed faces were sent away with a hope that Saturday, December 9th, the next window, would bring us better luck. It was a sad ride back on the buses back to the Visitor Center, but Dad was just so happy to have come this far. But we weren't giving up! We would be back Saturday for Attempt #2!
