Good-Bye Lunch With April and Scott

On April's last Saturday of work we all met Scott and went to the Prime Time 50's Cafe for lunch. Chad joined us before he had to go to work so it was truly a special lunch for April. We had a great server and a delicious lunch! We were back to work before anyone knew we were gone! We are certainly going to miss Our Little April!

Ryan and Kristie's Surprise Baby Shower

Another surprise party...(it's what GCS is best at!)...this time for Ryan and Kristie. It was a marathon of parties at GCS this year. Kristie was our "phone girl" after April delivered Kynsley. We held Kristie's Shower in the Atrium of the Feature Animation Building, where many a fun lunch has been had! I think Ryan was in on it, but Kristie was surprised. When you throw so many Suprise Parties in so little time, people start to get suspicious!

Jennifer and Allen's Going Away Party

Colleen was the next Scheduler to go, but I was unable to make her party that day. Colleen went to Reedy Creek Emergency Services. She's very happy, again no regrets about leaving Characters for her! After Colleen came Jennifer, who became a CT Character manager so she could spend time with Jewell, her daughter, and pursue other career interests. Fred, her husband, got a full time gig with the new Play 'n' Dine character dining experience at the Disney-MGM Studios Hollywood and Vine restaurant so it is now Jennifer's turn to try something new! Allen was only with us temporarily as our GCS Manager, but he made such positive impact on our little group that we felt like he was leaving forever. We were very sad to see all 3 of them go and we still miss Colleen, Jennifer, and Allen very much!

Chad's Going Away Party

It was the beginning of the end...Chad started the Mass Exodus of the Global Character Scheduling Team. We threw him a "surprise" Going Away Party (you can't surprise Chad) before he left Characters for Security. He doesn't look too sad to leave, does he? :) Hee hee! We miss you, Chad!

A Day at Walt Disney World with Kelly, Chance, and Cade

Kelly came to visit in July for a week. I was able to steal her away for a day at the Magic Kingdom with Chance and Cade, Kelly's sister Lisa's son. It was the first time I had seen Kelly since she moved and it was like time had never passed. She looks GREAT and Chance is getting so big! I also had lunch with them later in the week and got to see Trey, but I had forgotten my camera that day. I barely recognized Trey he has gotten SO tall and SO grown-up! But we had a fun day at the Magic Kingdom, as you can see by the pictures. Chance and Cade are the Best of Friends and it was SO nice seeing them get along so well the entire day. It was also nice to spend the day getting caught up with Kelly.

Dinner With Keon, Samantha, and Francisco

For fun, the gang decided to do dinner at the Grand Floridian. We went to the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare. For those of you who I always talk to about Keon and Samantha, here are some pics of them. Francisco has the bandana on.
