Lea, A Doxie In Alabama
Now we get to Lea. Little Lea who was an Absolute Angel on this Road Trip. I took Lea with me so Grandma didn't have to worry about 4 (counting her Teena), she could only worry about 3. Plus Lea is such a Good Companion, so laid back and mellow, that traveling with her was easy. I had a little Doggie Carrier so I could pop her in with a treat and stop at Rest Areas to Take Care Of Business. We had fun on the road. When we got to Mike and Sandie's Lea was just ecstatic! She was happy to see her Uncle Mike, Aunt Sandie, and Grammie Margie, but mostly she was happy to see her #1 Cousin, Bella. They played together and explored together the 2 days I was there. Lea would go looking for Bella if they got separated. They watched the Lizard and the Turtle together and sat nicely under the table while the Grown Ups ate, which was SO WIERD for me because Lea always barks when we are at the table. Not a peep! She probably remembers that Aunt Sandie doesn't allow Barking at the Supper Table, so I think Lea was using her Good Manners while she was in Aunt Sandie's House. Lea also had a lot of energy on this trip. She went with us when we went on Margie's Walking Wilderness Tour of the Plants, Trees, and Flowers. Lea kept right up. She actually went running through the yard at some points to catch up, tail wagging and tongue panting. She had a blast up there! If only we could've stayed until Lea lost a few pounds. She would have done it in no time at Uncle Mike's House! I haven't seen Lea have that much energy in ages. It was so refreshing to watch her play like a puppy again. Must be that Clean Country Air. It's Rejuvinating!
